Schools in Action

To thank their partners, schools hold a variety of activities ranging from appreciation celebrations to class projects and writing exercises devoted to their partners, such as writing thank you notes.
See below for the creative ways that schools are showing appreciation for their partners.

  • Austell Primary School recently honored all of their Partners in Education at a Partners in Education and Volunteers Celebration Luncheon.

  • Rita's Ice, and their PIE representative Mr. Doug Ferdinand, was chosen as Addison Elementary School's PIE of the Year.  Addison shows their appreciation for their Partners by presenting this award each year.

  • Marietta Middle School shows appreciation for their PIE, Bank of North Georgia, by participating in the bank’s 4th annual PB&J campaign "Spread the Love."  The students collected 282 jars total, which is 5,811.5 ounces of peanut butter and jelly.  All donations are given to the Center for Family Resources in Marietta.

  • Russell Elementary School shows their appreciation for Presbyterian Village by making cards for the senior citizens that come to read to them, giving them goodies and homemade bread, and hosting a breakfast and lunch with the teachers.

  • HAVEN Academy held an Appreciation Reception for their Partners in Education on April 27th.

Tell us about your partner appreciation activities and you might find them in our next e-newsletter! Contact the Cobb Chamber Education Department at 770-859-2360 or partners@cobbchamber.org with stories and pictures. Please keep in mind that businesses must be official Partners in Education through the Cobb Chamber to be recognized. If students appear in pictures, please verify that permission has been granted to release these photos.
