This event session on Thursday, July 23 is for businesses who want more information on becoming a Partner in Education. Steps on how to create proper partnerships will be given.

The Partners in Education Program is a collective effort of the Cobb Chamber, the Cobb County Public School System and the Marietta City Public School System that matches businesses and organizations with schools to provide extra funding, unique services and volunteer support.
The vision behind the Partners in Education Program is to enrich the learning experience of Cobb’s children so that all develop a strong academic foundation, skills and core values that will benefit them in their community life and in a career.

Outstanding Partners in Education Awards
As part of the GOSH events, a select number of Partners in Education were awarded the distinction of Outstanding Partner in Education. Last spring all of Cobb’s school principals were given the arduous task of nominating the partner or partners that had rendered outstanding service to their school for the 2007-2008 school year. The following partners nominated for this award helped contribute
to a total of 95,000 service hours in our schools, gave $1.5 million in cash donations and $2.8 million in goods and services. A special few had the opportunity to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
